Since Citrix introduced FlexCast Management Architecture (FMA) there has been some complications around the design of large XenApp/XenDesktop environments in companies than span multiple parts of the globe.

App-V on XenApp 6.5 – The Application Virtualization Client could not launch
Felt it would be good to blog about a recent problem which had me head scratching for a bit. It happened on a XenApp 6.5 environment running 2008 R2 shared desktops. This issue however could appear on other Citrix platforms as it turns out it was a Microsoft issue. It also is not very well documented from a resolution standpoint.
0x0000007E BNIStack failed – VMware
An issue I came across recently with a Citrix environment running on VMware vSphere 5.
When booting a PVS target device (the one, oddly) the VM blue screens and restarts only to go in to a blue screen restart loop. The following error was recorded in the blue screen output:
ERROR: BNIStack failed, network stack could not be initialized along with stop error code 0x0000007E.
Citrix Performance Monitoring
After installing Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop roles such as StoreFront, Delivery Controller, VDA on servers, the setup installation adds several new performance counters that you can access and use via Performance Monitor. Some of the counters will be specific to the role you install so the counters available to each machine will vary.
